The “New Moon”. This astronomical event takes place when the Earth, the Moon and the Sun are aligned, the Moon being placed between the other two. The Moon is then invisible, it turns pitch black. It’s a time of stillness, of reflection. It allows us to sow new seeds for the future. The next New Moon will take place tomorrow morning at 6:46 AM CET in the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius, and its energy will last as always around 2,5 days. So you have plenty of time to set your intentions until more or less Wednesday afternoon. But don’t think that nothing will work if you set your intentions later! The cosmos is not setting deadlines to your potential evolution. It's just that the timing is better and the effect is greater while the energy of the New Moon is activated, that’s all! Working in synchronicity with the universe is always more powerful.

The Aquarian energy… a visceral need to be free, to be yourself, to reject anything that is not aligned with who you truly are, to innovate and bring something unique to society. In one word: individuation.
The sign of the Water-Bearer is associated with Prometheus, the mythological titan of fire. He is known for defying the Gods of the Mount Olympus by stealing their fire and offering it to humankind. He is a rule-breaker, a fighter for individuation and freedom who brings innovation to humanity. This New Moon is fuelled by this archetype and its wonderful energy. Let’s dive deeper into it!
Aquarius is all about the group, the herd, but from an individualistic point of view. The Aquarian sets its individuation as a priority, which means a perfect alignment with the purpose of the soul. Any obstacle, any challenge, anything and anyone that stands between the Water-Bearer and its goal takes the risk to either be simply ignored and rejected, or fought with passion and obstination. Whatever the price, Aquarius has to be itself to become a servant, bringing innovation and evolution to society.
That’s the kind of mindset we’re being offered right now with this New Moon. It’s been many months now that the focus was fully inward, and it’s time to come back to the herd. We’re invited to open ourselves to the group again, to share with our friends what we’ve been doing in our caves. Friendships and group activities will probably receive a fresh wave of energy.
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus (Prometheus), the one who knows no boundaries, for whom everything is possible, and it will square this New Moon from the sign of Taurus. We might have crazy and ground-breaking ideas, lightnings of inspiration, and we might feel the need to do whatever it takes to make them real, even if (and maybe especially if) it implies breaking the rules.
But Saturn will conjunct the Moon and the Sun too, reminding us that the world is limited, that it has a certain structure, and that we have to approach it from a practical point of view. Yes, things definitely need to change. Yes, we should innovate and use our genius to progress and “save the world”. But we still have to consider the power and authority in place at the moment. It is difficult and deadly to bring change using strength and violence (that’s why revolutions always end in a blood bath…), so instead of using bulldozers and bombs to destroy the foundations of our current world, how can we collaborate and connect all our minds, our ideas, to envision a future as bright as possible?
Mercury is still retrograde and will be aligned with Pluto at the time of the New Moon, providing us with a very penetrative mind, going deep into the matter of things. Ideas and communication could be intense, sometimes coming with anger and the desire to control or impose our power. Be careful not to push your new futuristic vision of the world on everyone, step back and try to find out what you can say or not, as well as what others are able or ready to hear. This changes from person to person and requires flexibility, a quality difficult to obtain with a Mercury-Pluto in Capricorn mix.
Venus just stationed direct, giving us the opportunity to close an important chapter by March 1st. We’re invited to process as much as possible what has been triggered in our relationships (love, friendship, self-love) and in our system of value (beauty, finance). A deep healing of the heart is awaiting those who will be able to face what’s not working anymore, by changing and upgrading their entire system of exchange.
