“Whenever a taboo is broken, something good happens, something vitalising. Taboos after all are only hangovers, the product of diseased minds, you might say, of fearsome people who hadn’t the courage to live and who under the guise of morality and religion have imposed these things upon us.” ― Henry Miller

Do you remember the New Moon in Virgo that took place three weeks ago on September 7th? Well, we’re still in the same lunar cycle, and we’re now entering its Last Quarter. The intentions that you set could feel really far away right now. That’s why it’s so important to write them down, to be able to come back to it regularly and make adjustments if necessary. Are you still aligned with them? What are the results that showed up in the last weeks, particularly at the Full Moon in Pisces on September 21st?
This phase of the Moon has a yang hue, making us realize that our previous intentions got old, may be outdated and need to be refreshed or even completely changed. That’s where working with the Moon cycles becomes very interesting: we become aware of our own evolution over a period as short as 4 weeks! We are constantly changing, so is our environment, and we constantly need to update our roadmap. Following the natural cycles of the universe allows us to sail on the ever changing sea of life, taking into consideration and taking advantage of the main variations in the wind and currents.
Remember that the New Moon in Virgo was focused on defining a clear and detailed plan or roadmap for the future we want to build for ourselves. If you read it again now, do you still feel aligned with it? The Second Quarter of the Lunar Cycle is a great time to review it, update it or completely change it if necessary, by taking into account the changes that happened within your life those last 3 weeks. So I invite you to go back to your intentions and take note of the things that don’t feel aligned with you anymore.
This Second Square of the Moon with the Sun is mainly taking place in Cancer, currently in exact opposition with the planet Pluto. Pluto is, according to me and many other astrologers, the most powerful planet, in the sense that we simply can’t resist its influence. If we try to go against the evolutionary lessons it’s trying to teach to our soul, we very often face heavy consequences. Pluto is the planet of transformation, death and rebirth, it symbolizes our fears, our shadow, everything we’re ashamed of and that we try to hide under the carpet. No wonder why it rules the sign of Scorpio!
Transiting the sign of Cancer, the Moon is at home, very powerful, nurturing, caring, emotional. We might want to stay home, cosy, eating healthy food (or not), taking care of ourselves and others. We might want to stay in retreat and feel the need to protect ourselves emotionally fearing to be hurt somehow. The thing is that the influence of Pluto in opposition on the other side of the Zodiac, sitting in Capricorn, doesn’t have the same endeavors. It’s trying hard to pull us out of our comfort zone, to face our responsibilities and to express what we’re trying to keep secret in Cancer. There’s a need to expose ourselves emotionally to go out of the status quo and solve some emotional knots that have been tied in the past, possibly months or years ago.
This is an echo to the current retrogradation of Mercury in Libra that pushes us to review the way we communicate in our relationships, supported by the transit of Venus in Scorpio that helps face our demons and talk about every topic we’re usually not able to address in our close relationships. So if any heavy subject comes to your mind at the moment, this is THE TIME to deal with it. Lies, secrets, shame, sex, drugs, disease, death, anything! Be brave enough to put everything on the table. This is an evolutionary step offered to all of us at the moment. We just need to take the chance! Just be careful to use the right approach and the right words to not hurt your relatives. Here is the other real challenge! How can we talk about things that hurt without hurting? This is what each of us has to figure out personally.
I wish you good luck for this challenging transit! Don’t forget that the new seeds you’re planting can’t grow if the soil you sow them in is rotten.
With love!
