As I mentioned in my last post, this Solar Eclipse is the last one of a series of 6 eclipses that took place in the last 1,5 years, closing an entire chapter of evolution taking place on the axis Gemini-Sagittarius. Everyone is concerned, as Eclipses are linked with the Nodes of the Moon, and therefore to our karma (personal and collective) and its necessary purges and growths.
It shook and radically transformed our relationship to truth, our belief systems, our understanding of life and pushed us to question ourselves regarding our place in this universe. All bonds, weights, chains and burdens carried from the South Node transiting the sign of Sagittarius, trying to be released through the North Node in Gemini.
We were invited (and in many cases forced) to open and confront ourselves and especially our minds to other points of view, other ways of thinking, to consider all the facts, to study and learn in order to deconstruct and rebuild a whole new personal system of belief. We can see it everywhere: people are on the move, they are rejecting the old system we’ve been stuck in for far too long. People want social fairness, they want to come back to nature, they want to reconnect with their bodies, with the divine. Spirituality is spreading faster than ever, and as for everything, this is no coincidence. It’s just about (divine) time.
We’re coming out of this Eclipse cycle wiser and more knowledgeable than before, with the ability to see the bigger picture of life, from a more philosophical, cosmological perspective (Sagittarius freed from its chains). We have the feeling that we’re actually far bigger and more powerful than we thought, and we feel that it’s actually just a hint, a glimpse of what we can actually be. How much can we believe in ourselves, how big can we dream?
Yes, we might be unchained, but the danger is for us to stay in the old limited space we’ve been treading our entire life. We still need the strength and courage to detach ourselves completely, to step outside of the cage of our old limiting beliefs in order to expand, discover and explore new spaces.
This Eclipse is in conjunction with Mercury, so it has a lot to do with our mind, our communication, our knowledge. Have a look over the last 18 months, see how much you’ve changed mentally, all the things you’ve learned, how differently you understand life now. Isn’t it striking?
We are already in the Shadow Phase (started on November 18th) of the coming up Venus Retrograde that will really start when Venus stations direct on December 26th forming a conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn. The retrograde of Venus takes place about every year and a half, and Venus changes from Hesperus (evening star), to Lucifer (the morning star) also called “the light bearer”. This is an important cycle where we have the occasion to dive deep into relationship and value matters. I will come back to it with a special post dedicated to this retrograde period.
For now, take a deep breath and be brave enough to fly away from your old self. Follow the arrow of Sagittarius firing towards a brand new future. It might be scary, but how thrilling is it?! This literally gives me chills.
