New Moon in Libra! Love. Beauty. Peace.

The “New Moon”. This astronomical event takes place when the Earth, the Moon and the Sun are aligned, the Moon being placed between the other two. The Moon is then invisible, it turns pitch black. It’s a time of stillness, of reflection. It allows us to sow new seeds for the future. So be prepared for tomorrow 6th of October, 1:05 PM CET! The energy lasts around two and a half days, so you can easily do your Moon ritual in the evening or even the day after!
Be aware that the following interpretation considers the general energies at play on Earth during the New Moon. Its effects vary radically from one individual to the other depending on the natal chart.
Love. Beauty. Peace.
Which other terms could define better the sign of the Zodiac ruled by the planet Venus? Associated with the Goddess Aphrodite, Venus tries its best to infuse those values in our lives and, in the sign of Libra, it invites us to enrich it through our interactions and relationships with others.
In the Zodiac, the sign of the Scales comes right after the Virgo archetype. After going through a phase of purification and taming of our ego, we are finally able to welcome others into our lives, to learn and accept different points of views, to create in collaboration with other beings. We are learning about duality and about the fact that there are as many ways of seeing life as there are individuals. We need to accept that others may think in radically different ways, without trying to impose our own vision of life to anyone.
The danger with Libra, is to be so nice, so calm, so fair, that we don’t even fight anymore for our own values. Others don’t take our opinions into account and don’t listen to us anymore because hey!, this person always follows the movement after all so why would we even dare asking what she thinks about the whole thing?
Hopefully, the polarity of Aries is here to bring some balance in our interactions with others and give us the will and power to defend our ideas and positions when necessary. Especially for this New Moon, the planet Mars (ruler of Aries), is in perfect conjunction with the Sun and the Moon at 13° of Libra! This configuration will give us a lot of energy to take initiatives, to initiate our new ideas and projects with courage, while planning everything with a fair spirit and with the help of others if needed.
We however have to be careful since the energy of Mars can be very strong and uncontrollable. An extra-effort will have to be made to plant rational and well-thought intentions, as well as to communicate peacefully with our peers. So think twice before starting any new project or saying things that you might regret afterwards.
During this New Moon, not less than 6 planets, plus the North Node, will be transiting in Air signs. There’s a great emphasis on communication and exchange of information and ideas. Taking place in Libra, the message is clear that we have to connect with others, collaborate, listen to what they have to say and take into consideration any advice that comes to us. With Uranus in Quincunx in Taurus, it is possible that the messages we receive disturb or disrupt our plans and ideas. If so, we’ll have to reflect on the effect it has on us, the emotions and feelings it produces, and then possibly make compromises and adapt or modify our actions. Not everything will be good to take, we’ll have to weigh (Libra) what’s positive or negative for us.
The trio Sun Moon Mars will also be in opposition with Chiron in Aries, indicating that all the interactions we will have during this New Moon as well as our intentions and their results will potentially have a high healing effect on us. We’ll have to pay attention to the way we react when interacting with others, and try to figure out why we react the way we do. Do we get angry? Do we avoid the topic and completely shut down? If so, why? What does it trigger within us? Where does it come from? There will be a big opportunity to heal ourselves and relationships, to renew and heal old bonds.
Venus is still in Scorpio at the moment, making our relationships intense and possibly heavy. The territory on which we’re playing is tricky, but that’s the point: we have to face difficult situations and delicate conversations in order to be triggered and bring the source of the issue to the surface. It requires courage to accept it but the energy is currently here to help us deal with it! That’s the game!
Mercury is right now going retrograde through the sign of Libra too, potentially bringing us back to our past relationships. We might find ourselves diving into past memories (good or bad), old friends might come back to us “out of nowhere”, etc. We have to pay attention to those messages and try to figure out if they can bring us forward at the moment. Do we have to let it go? Do they bring something that I never thought of, that I didn’t include in my plan?
On top of that, Pluto, the lord of transformation, who has been retrograding in the sign of Capricorn since April, stations direct right during the New Moon… Any big change, that had been initiated at the beginning of the year, might have felt on hold somehow in the last months. Saturn will follow and station direct on October 10th in Aquarius, pushing changes and restructuring even more forward.
The seeds you’re about to plant during this New Moon can potentially appear to be life-changing for you in the future, so as always, but even more in these times of transformation: may you choose the seeds you want to sow with care!
Love, Beauty, Peace.
