"Knock, and He'll open the door.
Vanish and He'll make you shine like the sun
Fall, and He'll raise you to the heavens
Become nothing, and He'll turn you into everything"
– Jalal Ad-Din Rumi.

Scientifically, Jupiter is the 5th planet of the solar system (counting from the Sun). It is the biggest (1300 times the volume of the Earth) and most probably the first planet that formed itself during the creation process of the solar system. So far, we know that 80 moons are orbiting around it (it probably has more), one being bigger than the planet Mercury. This is just mind blowing! No wonder that the ancients named it after the King of the Gods (Zeus in the Greek mythology). In the night sky, Jupiter is also the third brightest after the Moon and Venus and that’s why Humans have been able to observe its movements since prehistoric times.
From an astrological point of view, Jupiter is the modern ruler of Sagittarius (mutable fire sign) and is the first of the “social” or transpersonal planets'' (the other one being Saturn). They move slower through the Zodiac (Jupiter needs 12 years overall) than the personal planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) and therefore give some information on a personal level as well as on what we call the “Zeitgeist” in German, or “spirit of the time”. It starts giving us some hints about what’s going on on a social level, for the entire community of Humans as a species.
As I mentioned above, Jupiter is BIG. No wonder why it is associated with the quality of expansion, growth (mental and spiritual), broader purpose, dreams and hope. It helps us to go beyond what we think is “possible”, to explore uncharted territories and therefore to expand our knowledge of the world that surrounds us.
Jupiter is also the most positive planet of the Zodiac and is often described as the “lucky star”. Wherever Jupiter lies in your natal chart, there’s generally a chance that this area of your life goes smoother than the others. It holds qualities such as tolerance, gratitude, generosity, abundance, honor, morality, fairness, wisdom, spirituality, luck, hope, expansion, abstract thoughts (philosophy for example), humor, etc. So you might understand why it is so important to understand where Jupiter transits in the sky!
Transiting the sign of Pisces, Jupiter is quite comfortable (water mutable sign, Jupiter is its ancient ruler). It invites us to tap into our spirituality, expand our awareness. It will increase our feeling of and belief in a higher power and will attract luck and positive developments in our lives if we embrace life with more compassion and let our intuition and imagination guide us on the way.
By embodying qualities such as compassion, help, charity, compassion, devotion, or tenderness, we will be able to give a boost to our spiritual growth and attract luck to our life. I know that it’s hard, but we should try to find faith in others and remind ourselves that some good lies in the heart of each of us.
However, we have to remember that Jupiter is also the planet of expansion and can easily overdo it and become too much. Pisces has a lack of boundaries and wants to lose itself in the global consciousness, in the universal unity more than anything else. That’s why we should watch out and still be able to set clear boundaries to ourselves. Yes, we should give, we should help, we should be compassionate, but only to the extent that remains good for us. So beware of people and situations that could act as energy vampires. Those will be great challenges testing how good we are currently with our own definition of the self and personal boundaries. Yes, we might feel amazing while helping others, but we should definitely not neglect our own needs.
In any case, as bad as it could be, this transit is more positive than most other transits and Jupiter will definitely be on our side in 2022 (and its help will be more than needed!). Jupiter is the “great benefic” and helps us see everything from a higher perspective, and in Pisces, it will help us have a greater connection with life itself. So wherever it is at the moment in your chart, this area will surely be supported, developed, and improved in some way.
So while Zeus is swimming in the ocean of Pisces, explore and expand your connection to the universe, with the big mysteries of life. Be more compassionate and give as much as you can while caring for yourself. If you keep those two lines in mind only, you’re off to a good start!
With love!
