We just entered the Gibbous phase of the lunar cycle. A very yin, feminine, reflective phase that allows us to transition to the second half of the cycle before the Full Moon at 29° of Aquarius coming on Sunday 22nd of August at 2:01 PM CET.
We’re invited to an introspection before the blossoming of the Full Moon. What can we refine, modify, rectify? It’s an internal, subjective and very personal process that can be supported by the feedback that we received since we set our intentions at the New Moon. Did we notice any change in the way we relate to our friends and family, to our body? Did we receive any message from the Universe? Did any “coincidence” or “synchronicity” confirm that we are on the right track?
The Gibbous Moon Phase has an energy similar to the Virgoan archetype, a humble spirit, the awareness that things can be improved, a desire and drive for perfection. It gives us the opportunity to distinguish precisely what really serves us in order to constantly improve ourselves.
As I just said, this phase brings a Virgoan touch to the atmosphere, but the Moon is currently transiting the sign of Capricorn AND is at this very moment in conjunction with the planet Pluto. This can give us an idea of how big the mountain we want to climb is. As Pluto is activated by the Moon, deep insecurities can be triggered within us depending on where Pluto lies in our natal chart. Old demons can come visit us and give us a hard time believing in ourselves.
Let’s try to not succumb to the dark side of Pluto (it’s in general very difficult as the dark lord plays a very deep and transformative role in our evolution) and use the Capricornian energy instead. It brings a feeling that everything is actually within our reach if we work hard. Yes, it’s true, the mountain we want to climb might be high, but we can do whatever it takes to reach the peak. We emotionally need to feel that we can achieve something concrete with our lives, and this is intensified by the plutonic energy that brings up our deepest desires and passions.
Pluto is also asking to be responsible for our own life, to own our power and reject the rules and restrictions (judgement, morality, tyranny of the society --> classical Capricornian issues) that may come your way. So the questions we should ask ourselves are: do we have the stamina, the courage and tenacity to execute our plans? Can we go beyond my deepest insecurities? Can we break free from the limitations of the society or customs we are living in? If not yet, what can we do to be able to do so in the nearest future?
