Full Moon in Virgo March 18th 2022

Full Moon in Virgo! Humility. Perfection. Significance.

“The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much, and forgetting that you are special too.” ― Ernest Hemingway, Men Without Women

The next Full Moon is taking place today at 8:17 AM CET, in the Zodiac sign of the Virgin, at 27° of Virgo. This time, you could potentially do your moon ritual right after coming back from work, in the evening for example. It would be a great occasion to relax and release after a long day. But no worries, as usual, the energy of a Full Moon lasts in between two and three days, so take your time to create the space and enjoy your ritual when you really feel like it!

A Full Moon is a moment of manifestation. The seeds we sowed at the New Moon in Pisces are now giving their fruits. We see the first results of our intentions, they are here, in the full light, and we might only understand now what this moon cycle is actually about. It could have a totally different meaning now that our ideas are blossoming. Is it really what we expected? Really what we wanted?

—------------------------------------------------

Humility. Perfection. Significance.

The holy trinity of the Virgo archetype. At first, those terms can ring some cold and rigid bells, but when we consider them from the right perspective, we discover that those qualities are real catalysts for growth. While reading the next paragraphs, please consider that the term “Virgin” that I use isn’t referring to inexperience and or anything religious, but rather to the concept of purity. Amen.

In the Zodiac, the archetype of the Virgin comes right after the Leo archetype. And for some good reasons. Our inner Lion, in all its creativity, its self actualisation, its ego development, needs some taming in order for us to evolve. The reason is that the first five signs of the Zodiac are dedicated to the development of our own unique persona: Aries pushes us to be independent and fight for ourselves, Taurus helps us define and satisfy our basic needs, Gemini allows us to discover, understand and interact with the outer world, Cancer brings focus and understanding to our feelings and emotions, and Leo helps us develop our ego and express our uniqueness without boundaries.

“Without boundaries”. This can be the issue with Leo. Ruled by the Sun, it may have trouble understanding that he’s not the center of the world, and that’s why the Virgin steps on stage. The animal needs to be tamed to be able to interact in a healthy way with others, to evolve respectfully in society without being overwhelming or crossing others’ boundaries. Virgo allows this transition between Leo, where the ego development reaches its peak, and Libra, where we meet other individuals. In other words, with the Virgin by its side, the Lion knows when to stop roaring.

We all have a certain dose of the Virgoan archetype within us. It helps us purify our ego and understand that we are not perfect. This is where we learn humility. In order to progress, to become better, we have to humble ourselves and accept the fact that in the end, we’re just one individual among billions of others. We have to come to the realisation that as unique and special as we are, everyone else is too.

Virgo strives for perfection. Its energy allows us to have an honest and pragmatic view on what is, and compare it to what could potentially be. Its analytical qualities help us understand what’s good and what’s wrong, always looking for improvements. The Virgoan energy can help us work relentlessly and meticulously, but at one condition: it has to be of some help to others. This is where Virgo takes on the role of the Servant. Whatever the task is, it has to be useful in some way if we want the Virgoan part of ourselves to be at peace.

Knowing all that, the next Full Moon will take place at 27° of the sign of Virgo, tomorrow March 18th at 8:17 AM CET. We’re invited to sit down and activate our analytical qualities: are we able to be honest with ourselves? What are our qualities and our flaws? Do we have the courage to look at ourselves in the mirror and consider what we see as it is, without bias, without lying to ourselves? What are our strengths and what can we improve? What doesn’t serve us that we definitely have to let go? Let’s use the laser-like, penetrative gaze of Virgo to recognise exactly where we’re standing right now, where we want to head to, and what are the necessary steps to get there.

The way can seem long and full of obstacles, but the goal here is to define all the requirements to get to the best version of ourselves (Virgo). Nothing should be left aside. By having a clear picture of where we’re heading, and a good knowledge of the roadmap, the mountain to climb won’t appear as scary as it seems. Make a list, as long as it needs to be, of all the components of your dream life, the different milestones to get there, the people you might need to contact, the books you need to read, anything! Dream, but be practical and precise! Virgo is an Earth sign, it has to take some shape and form.

Talking about dreaming, the Moon will be in opposition to Neptune and the Sun in Pisces, giving us an even bigger opportunity to envision our future and design the role that we’re here to play in this incarnation. It’s an opportunity for us to define how we can optimise our skills, shine our unique light to give back to the collective and participate in the evolution of the whole.

The Full Moon in Virgo will form a Trine with the North Node of the Moon in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. This will help us insert the future role that we’re dreaming for ourselves in the practical world, in the society (Capricorn), while caring about our own needs and preserving our energy and resources (Taurus). This is how the magic happens. It’s by combining and. synergising the energies of all the archetypes of the Zodiac that we can reach the deepest realisation of our Self and completely individuate.

Taking place in Virgo, the Full Moon is ruled by Mercury currently transiting the sign of Pisces, in conjunction with Jupiter. Our mind is expanding as never, we have the possibilities to download information directly from the source, effortlessly - our intuition is at its peak, our dreams can be extremely symbolic and significant. This again helps us to surrender to the infinite and shapeless flow of creativity (Pisces), in order to embody it and use it rightfully (Virgo) in the new society, the new world currently taking place.

That was all and a lot for this Full Moon! I wish you to let go of everything that prevents you to embody the highest version of yourself, to align with the purpose of your soul.

Don’t forget the mantras of Virgo! Humility, Perfection, Significance.
