We currently find ourselves in the First Quarter phase of the lunar cycle that started on September 7th with the New Moon in Virgo. This phase of the cycle has a very active yang energy as the Moon squares the Sun for the first time since their last conjunction.
This is a potential time of tension where doubts can arise. Remember that we are always talking about the intentions that we set at the last New Moon. We might be afraid that we won’t stick to it, that it might be too hard, that people won’t like it, etc. A whole lot of fears can come up to our mind.
The key finds itself in the Virgoan archetype: we have to accept our Human condition and the fact that we will never reach perfection, without forgetting that we are “perfectible”. That means that we can always do better, always improve ourselves somehow. To do so, we need to be pragmatic, humble and honest to realize what is feasible at this very moment, right now.
As an example, if one of your New Moon intentions was to lose weight and you set a certain weight as a target, you might be discouraged right now, thinking that you haven't made any improvement since last week. It might be true, but already the fact that you’re having this discussion with yourself, that you are honest and pragmatic regarding your situation is a step forward. You are aware and honest with yourself, you are paying attention, and it’s already part of the process.
If those thoughts come to your mind, use the earth energy emitted during the New Moon in Virgo to organize yourself, to make a schedule, a plan, a strategy that can bring you to the top of the mountain you want to climb. The Moon is currently transiting the sign of Capricorn, giving you all the will and power to make things happen for real! So take the chance! The Sun, still in Virgo, is in exact opposition to Neptune in Pisces, giving you the opportunity to embody your dreams and illusions… for good or for ill, depending how well you’ll be able to define what’s good for yourself. Here again, the discriminatory power of Virgo will be of incredible help!
Don’t let your doubts and fears overwhelm or control you. Spot them, observe them, and use them as a springboard to jump even higher!
