Happy Fall Equinox & Welcome to Libra Season!

We just passed the Fall Equinox that took place yesterday at 9:21 PM CET. Autumn just started in the Northern Hemisphere, and we officially entered Libra season!
For thousands of years, the rhythm of the seasons has been an anchor for our ancestors and the Winter Solstice, the Spring Equinox, the Summer Solstice and the Fall Equinox were real milestones of the year. Humans used to live in harmony with nature and its cycles, but we will all agree that with the type of life we have in our modern societies, we lost most of this connection, barely keeping in mind that the year is divided into four seasons… Nowadays, our year is capitalistically divided into tourism in Summer, the start of the school year in Autumn, Christmas gifts in Winter, and chocolate bunnies in Spring...
But the world, and therefore our lives constantly follow cycles of birth, growth, harvest, death and rebirth. These cycles are easily observable in nature, but we have to know that our bodies and minds follow the same universal melody too. We can’t sustainably deliver the same type and amount of energy, in the same direction, constantly. The changes in our physiology and our psychology may be extremely subtle depending on the individual, but they are very much present and it’s up to us to pay attention to those messages.
Autumn is a moment of harvest. We planted new seeds during Spring, we nourished them and waited for them to grow patiently during Summer, and we can now see the fruits of all our efforts. We’re now asked to have a look at those fruits. Are they made out of pure gold, or full of worms? In any case, this is a moment where we assess how far we have come this year, and whatever the result, we need to be compassionate and thankful for everything we received.
Libra is the sign of justice, fairness, balance, harmony, beauty. Are you able to have a look at what you achieved this year and infuse whatever happened with those values? We’re not here to compare, but simply to make an assessment of what has been done and where we’re standing at the moment to be able to cleanse ourselves and start envisioning the seeds that we will carefully brood during the cold month of Winter.
Take the time to align your body and mind to the new autumnal energy. Nature is shedding what’s not necessary anymore, the trees are losing their leaves, the flowers give their last energy to produce the seeds for the next year to come… You’re invited to do the same! To slow down and redirect your life energy to what’s really important, to your roots. Based on your new experience, try to figure out where you’re heading to and what your next steps are by using meditation, journaling, painting, whichever outlet seems the best for you right now. This preparation will be of incredible value for what the universe has planned for us next!
Once again, before ending this post, take care of your body! This is of utmost importance. No real spiritual growth can happen without honouring it. Use the Venusian energy of Libra to cherish it, take a bath or shower with mindfulness, massage yourself, cook yourself healthy and generous meals that make you happy, wear clothes in which you feel amazing... tidy your space and make it cosy, smudge it to cleanse the air… Take the time to make yourself and your home as beautiful as you wish it to be, just because you deserve it!
Have a wonderful start in Fall and Libra season!
